Ooo... bugs and zoos. Those are much more fun to talk about then schtoopid birthdays. I've been seeing lots of swallow tails lately. And We have a toad hanging around the Ed Center.
I liked my card. I'm definitely going to collect on the dance and call :)
I've been seeing lots of swallowtails also, which always makes me happy. I do miss the days though when I would find the caterpillars in the fall & raise them till they hatched in the spring.
When we were in Oregon this past weekend I also saw a Painted Lady & a Mourning Cloak (those are so cool). There was also another type of butterfly (or moth) which was rather unique, but I didn't know what it was. It wasn't in my general PNW field guide--I'll have to look in my butterfly specific field guide.
I want to see the toad! Amphibians are so cool. Last weekend I saw a couple lizards (I think they were skinks) & also two gopher snakes & a garter snake. One of the gopher snakes was dead, which was sad, but meant I could look more closely at him.
I will try to get a picture of the toad.
When we go to the zoo I must show you my nifty new insect book
